Life Without Limits Challenge

On September 17, 2016, 20 PMDC dancers came out to cheer on participants at the 10th Annual Life Without Limits Challenge, a walk in support of the Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta. The Challenge is a fun family friendly event for people of all ages and abilities to come together and raise funds while creating awareness for individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. It’s a great event for a great cause!

One of our dancers, Grace Twomey, who attended the event reflected on the Challenge, “My experience at the cerebral palsy challenge in Fish Creek Park was an amazing opportunity because cheering on everybody that was walking lifted my spirits. The reason why I decided to partake in this Challenge was because making a difference in our community is something that I really enjoy doing.”

When asked about her favourite memory of the event she explained, “We got to meet a young boy named Cash! He was the top children’s fundraiser for the children’s Cerebral Palsy Association. His favourite superhero was Iron Man and he was all dressed up. That day he also got to meet Iron Man and Batman!”

PMDC dancers were also featured in a CTV News segment about Cash and his meeting with Iron Man and Batman. For information about the Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta or to learn about ways to get involved, visit their website.
